Norman L. Bowen Award

About

The Norman L. Bowen Award and Lecture are presented annually to one or more mid-career or senior scientists in recognition of outstanding contributions to the fields of volcanology, geochemistry, and petrology. Awardees will be selected for the honor based on a single outstanding paper published in any journal, a series of papers, or any other contribution which the Bowen Awards Committee deems worthy. Special consideration is given to nominees who have not previously received a medal.
