Dear Hydrology Community,
Based on feedback from our community, and the currently low numbers of nomination submissions, AGU is pushing back the nomination deadline to 15 April (it had been 1 April) for all honors programs-Fellows, Section Awards, and Union medals, awards, and prizes.
AGU wants to make sure there is time and flexibility for participants to put together quality nomination packages while at the same time balancing the needs of the program and taking into consideration the time needed for volunteers to review nominations. Therefore, there will not be an opportunity to extend past the 15 April date.
We will be updating communications, where we can, about the new date, including on social media, upcoming Section newsletter ads, and other locations, but you still may see the old date in published information.
Let your networks and canvassing committees know and encourage them to submit nominations. Visit our online nomination submission platform at:
