The Robert E. Horton Medal is for Outstanding contribution to the geophysical aspects of hydrology. The Medal has been awarded biennially since 1976 and awarded annually starting in 1995.

AGU Fellows

AGU Fellows program recognizes members who have attained scientific eminence in the Earth and space sciences for achieving a breakthrough, discovery, or innovation in their field. This is an elite class with less than one tenth of one percent of AGU membership elected in any given year. Their scientific breakthroughs and the paradigm shift that they have led is recognized and admired by their peers in the Earth and space sciences community, as well as by the general public.
