Union Fellows Nomination Eligibility
Before nominating a candidate be sure to check all eligibility aspects are met. To verify a nominee’s join date and section affiliation please reference the Membership Directory through the AGU Member Portal or contact the Union Fellows coordinator.
Nominees
- Must be a middle or senior career scientist
- Eligible nominees’ AGU member join year is 2016 or earlier
- Eligible nominees should be a current AGU member and have an active AGU membership for the previous 3 years
- Primary criteria for evaluation in scientific eminence are:
- breakthrough or discovery;
- innovation in disciplinary science, cross-disciplinary science, instrument development, or methods development; and/or
- sustained scientific impact
- Compliance with AGU Conflict of Interest policy
Nominators
- Active AGU membership is required
- Compliance with AGU Conflict of Interest policy
- Duplicate nominations for one individual will not be accepted. However, one co-nominator is permitted (but not required) per nomination.
