Need some extra writing motivation? Join the AGU EPSP student writing group! Come work on that looming manuscript, dissertation chapter, or application in the company of other surface processes students over zoom. The writing group will meet from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm PDT on Tuesdays and 8 am - 10 am PDT on Thursdays (convert PDT to your local time here), starting from Thursday, January 27th 2022. No need to come to every meeting or stay for the whole time, just do what works for you. Each meeting will start with a brief (10-15 minutes) period for participants to introduce themselves and share their writing goals, followed by three 25-minute quiet writing periods with a 5-minute break between each. Cameras are optional, and the choice of writing is up to you. The intention is to provide a space for students to make progress on work related to their degree, but students working on other projects such as grants, job applications, coursework, or even blogs are encouraged to participate as well!
