Welcome to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Education Working Group!

Our Working Group aims to represent students and educators interested in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in education at all levels. Our vision is to promote DEI in education by working in partnership with students, educators, other AGU Sections, and professional bodies.

Current projects:

• Building on our PESSER series, we will launch our new opinion series ‘Voices’ to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability across different cultural contexts.  We will feature initiatives and publications in the form of short articles, interviews, and video clips.
• Convening panel discussions and conference sessions on diversity, equity, and inclusion in international conferences, with contributions from other AGU Sections and international professional bodies.

• Geology & colonialism reading list:  An extensive reading list on links between colonialism, subdisciplines in Earth and Space Sciences, and other branches of science
