The December 2020 newsletter notes the release of
PESSER 5 by Fumiko Noguchi, a researcher at the United Nations University. Within PESSER 5, Noguchi focuses on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
Additional highlights within the December 2020 newsletter include:
- the Education Section's portion of the #AGU20 Scientific Roll Call
- the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology's transition of their Education and Public Outreach program to an online format
- encouragement for use of new science communication techniques
- a summary of the "diversity-innovation" paradox, through which innovative underrepresented groups may at the same time be discounted, creating a paradox.
