Attendee Information

Flathead Lake Biological Station (FLBS) serves as the all-inclusive Chapman Conference venue. In addition to holding scientific sessions, attendees will share meals in the dining hall and have the opportunity to stay on the station in one of the station’s group accommodations.

FLBS is approximately 16-18 miles away from the closest town both to the north and south. Please plan to bring everything you need with you including your toiletries and reusable water bottle. If you are staying on the station you will be provided a pillow, bed linens, wool blanket and towels. You may also bring sleeping bag if you prefer.

FLBS is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Numerous species of birds and mammals, including bears, can be found on the grounds. The National Park Service has a video on bear safety that provides very helpful information.

All attendees are expected to follow the AGU Meeting Code of Conduct and the Bio Station Code of Conduct.
