Dear colleagues,
We invite abstract submissions to our AGU26 Tectonophysics session:
T022 - Unveiling Solid Earth structure and Tectonics at both Poles in the roadmap towards the International Polar Year.
We solicit presentations about the crust and lithosphere and the geological evolution in Antarctica and the Arctic using methods such as seismological and seismic imaging, magnetotellurics, aerogeophysics, satellite and marine geophysics and geological, geochemical, petrophysical and geodetic studies and modelling. Contributions on the polar geosphere, including its interactions with the cryosphere and research efforts on the connections between polar processes and global geodynamic evolution will be presented. Furhermore we seek community input into defining major knowledge gaps and ways to shape future international initiatives to increase our knowledge of the polar geosphere and its interactions in the roadmap towards IPY.
