On behalf of all guest editors, I am pleased to share a Special Issue in Remote Sensing:
Remote Sensing Applications in Hydrology and Water Resources Management
We invite contributions from the AGU hydrology, ecohydrology, remote sensing, and water-resources communities on the use of satellite, airborne, UAV, and multi-source remote sensing data to quantify hydrological processes and support water-resources decision-making.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• remote sensing for surface-water and groundwater monitoring
• water availability assessment and prediction
• evapotranspiration, runoff, soil moisture, drought, and water-use estimation
• integration of remote sensing products with hydrological models
• case studies linking Earth observation to local, regional, or basin-scale water management
Submission deadline: 15 August 2026
