Dear AGU colleagues,
As many of you may already know, the Japan Geoscience Union and the American Geophysical Union will hold a Joint Meeting in 2026.
We would like to warmly invite you to submit an abstract to our session:
G-06: Transdisciplinary Education and Earth Sciences: Co-creative Learning for a Sustainable Future
This session focuses on transdisciplinary (TD) education and solution-oriented learning in Earth and planetary sciences. We welcome contributions from:
Researchers and lecturers engaged in TD or solution-oriented programs
Graduate and undergraduate students who have experienced TD education
Primary and secondary school teachers working on inquiry-based or sustainability education
Topics may include curriculum design, case studies, educational methodologies, implementation challenges, student learning outcomes, and links between secondary and tertiary education-especially in areas such as climate change, ocean and atmospheric pollution, biodiversity loss, water resources, and other sustainability-related issues.
The session aims to create a space for meaningful discussion on how we integrate knowledge across disciplines and co-create educational models for a sustainable future.
Session details are available here:

We sincerely hope many of you will consider submitting an abstract and joining us in this important dialogue at the JpGU–AGU Joint Meeting 2026.
We look forward to your participation.
Best regards,
