Climate governance is a vital component in the communication of risk. Data science, digital technologies, social media, media information literacy, and artificial intelligence are essential for achieving the various targets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analysis & modern digital technology for earth observation and governance are essential for creating the communication system required for climate governance. The session focuses on various efforts undertaken by various countries to create the information and communication systems for Earth & environmental governance. This session focuses on how modern digital technologies & critical information infrastructure can be used for assessing and responding to various needs through earth and environmental governance for sustainability. The presentation discusses joint efforts and initiatives on international perspectives by NOAA, NASA, WMO & other research institutes on Earth & environmental governance using digital technologies for climate risk mitigation through geoscience education.
