Student/ Early Career representatives for the Global Environmental Change Section.

Signup Deadline: 01-31-2020
Starts: 03-01-2020
Ends: 03-31-2022
Location: Online Opportunity

Description:

Our 2-3 Student/Early Career reps participate fully in the Executive Committee, planning the annual networking event at the Fall Meeting, helping with social media, and carrying out initiatives of their own interest. Time commitment is light, typically 3-10 hours per month, and in return we can cover the cost of your Fall Meeting registration. Ideally, we would have 1 graduate student with at least a year left; and a post-doc or other scholar within 5 years of the terminal degree. At the time of application you should have GEC as your section affiliation (need not be primary).

To apply, send a one-paragraph statement of interest describing your commitment and what ideas you have as a GEC early career representative. Include either a short CV or a brief statement indicating where you are in your academic career (e.g. PhD student in paleoclimatology at University of Arizona since 2015, degree expected 2021, topic: xx).

Apply by January 31, 2020, by email to Philip.mote@oregonstate.edu and/or by filling out this opportunities application page.
