On behalf of the HydroLearn project, we would like to invite you to apply for our summer 2021 virtual workshop applying research-based pedagogical approaches to the collaborative development of active learning content for teaching hydrology and water resources engineering.  Participants receive a $3,000 fellowship and are expected to work with other instructors to develop a HydroLearn module to use in their own teaching.  This workshop is NSF supported.  Participants will use the HydroLearn online platform (www.hydrolearn.org) to collaboratively develop and share new undergraduate and entry-level graduate course material. This will be a virtual workshop held via zoom July 12 - 16 & 19 – 21.  Following a "hackathon" approach, the workshop will start with training on the development of content for HydroLearn and the research-based pedagogical approaches it uses, followed by collaborative work in small groups (2 to 3) on module development with the goal to complete the development of modules that each fellow could use in their own teaching at their home institution.  See the full workshop announcement, and link to apply, at https://www.hydrolearn.org/summer-hackathon-2021.  Application deadline is May 14, 2021.  You can learn more about our 2020 Hackathon and the modules that were developed by 30 participating faculty members https://www.hydrolearn.org/community-page.
