Webinar Presentations of New Online Teaching Resources Developed during HydroLearn Hackathon

Are you looking for new online learning resources that you can use in your hydrology, hydraulics or water resources courses? A group of 30 faculty members participated in a 2-week virtual hackathon organized by the HydroLearn.org project and co-developed a suite of modules that implement an active, problem-based learning approach to instruction. During the hackathon, the participants collaborated remotely and co-created educational resources that support the increased focus on online teaching, but can also serve the transition back to in-class learning by harnessing ongoing efforts to develop effective digital teaching resources. These modules will be used in upcoming fall 2020 and spring 2021 courses, by the workshop participants, and are also available for adoption or adaptation by others. HydroLearn.org is a platform for instructors to share and collaborate on developing resources for teaching hydrology and water resources.

There will be four 1.5 hour webinars on July 28, July 30, August 4, and August 5. Three or four modules will be presented at each webinar, and you will be able to see the content, learning objective and constructive alignment pedagogical approach taken, ask questions, and learn how you may be able to use them in your own courses. Details about the dates/times of the webinars and the presenters and topics of different modules, along with information on how to join are available here
