SY Showcase, Monday, 13 December from 12:45-15:45 CT (parts 1 & 2), Convention Center D-2 & online everywhere. Because of COVID-19 safety protocols, we could not host our SY Luncheon in a room with online access. Instead, we’ve innovated. We will be sharing a year-in-review and future SY updates as part of the SY Showcase. The Showcase will also feature several engaging panel discussions that highlight SY Scholarship, a SY World Tour, SY in NOLA, and Looking Forward with AGU President Susan Lozier. It should be fun and informative, join us!
SY Luncheon, Tuesday, 14 December, 11:30 -12:30 CT for in-person attendees (tickets available through meeting registration). This will be an opportunity for those who traveled to the meeting in person to connect, come and meet SY’s Executive Committee members, student award winners, session conveners and fellow SY members more informally.
SY Career Town Hall, Wednesday, 15 December from 11:15-12:15 CT, Convention Center - Room 352 & online everywhere. SY members are organizing the town hall “TH33E - Taking Your STEM Capital to Work in the Capitol (and Back to the Lab): A Panel Discussing the Various Ways You Can Impact Policy and Research” for all FM attendees who are interested in hearing about a range of career pathways from the lab to the policymaking world and back to the research world.
