We would like to draw your attention to a session on "Aeolian Processes on Earth and Other Planetary Bodies" at this year's AGU (in Chicago IL and online everywhere from December 12-16).

Spacecraft continue to reveal evidence of past and present aeolian activity on bodies other than Earth: from dust devils and aeolian sedimentary rock strata on Mars to dunes on Titan and Pluto. Earth observations, experiments, and theories have provided a basis for assessing and predicting aeolian processes on other planetary bodies. Integrating Earth and planetary discoveries is thus essential to understand and interpret aeolian processes across a broad range of planetary atmospheres and landscapes. We welcome presentations on work that increases our understanding of modern and ancient aeolian processes on Earth and across our Solar System, via spacecraft observations, laboratory studies, Earth-based field work, theory, and numerical modeling. The session will consist of oral and poster presentations, both in-person and online, with extra activities organized to facilitate greater interaction with online attendees, and an "aeolian mixer" for those attending in person - see https://bit.ly/aeolianAGU2022 or email claire@aeolisresearch.com for more details.

Conveners: Claire Newman (Aeolis Research), James King (Univ. Montréal), Jordan Bretzfelder (UCLA), and Kashauna Mason (Texas A&M).

Please consider submitting an abstract to the third consecutive year of this session by the August 3rd deadline:
