Earth and Planetary Surface Processes

Spacecraft continue to reveal evidence of past and present aeolian activity on bodies other than Earth: from dust devils and aeolian sedimentary rock strata on Mars to dunes on Titan and Pluto. Earth observations, experiments, and theories have provided a basis for assessing and predicting aeolian processes on other planetary bodies. Integrating Earth and planetary discoveries is thus essential to understand and interpret aeolian processes across a broad range of planetary atmospheres and landscapes. We welcome presentations on work that increases our understanding of modern and ancient aeolian processes on Earth and across our Solar System, via spacecraft observations, laboratory studies, Earth-based field work, theory, and numerical modeling.
