Vector-borne and Water-related Disease Workshop

When:  May 17, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  GeoHealth Connect

This day-long workshop, with an option to attend virtually, is hosted by NASA/GSFC and The Wilson Center in collaboration with One Health. Through keynote speakers, panel discussions, and focused group discussions, participants will learn about the current state of research in using NASA Earth-observing satellite (EOS) data to better understand and respond to vector-borne and water-related disease threats across the globe. Public health professionals will share the resources that are currently being used to prevent and control vector-borne and water-related disease and share their needs with respect to the potential use of EOS data in this area. In addition, we will learn about ongoing Citizen Science and Outreach activities that are taking place and will share information on how to become part of these efforts.
