EOS Science Advisor

EOS Science Advisor

Are you interested in communicating scientific research to a broad audience? Eos (eos.org) is the
science news magazine published by AGU and is seeking a Science Adviser to represent the Earth and Planetary Surface Processes section.

Eos Science Advisers represent AGU sections or committees, provide insight into their discipline and current topics for coverage, seek and provide expert commentary on scientist-authored work, and act as ambassadors for Eos. The Science Adviser will serve a 2-year term starting July 2022, and the commitment is approximately 2-5 hours per month. This is an opportunity to provide guidance into how science in your discipline is shared with a global audience. A complete position description is attached.

Please note that serving as a Science Adviser for Eos is very different than Associate Editor service for a journal-- for example, the position does not require finding and harassing reviewers. We especially encourage candidates that bring diversity of multiple types, including geographic, to Eos.

Please fill out the form below to indicate your interest—and keep your responses brief. Feel free to contact Andrew Wilcox (andrew.wilcox@umontana.edu), the current Eos Science Advisor for EPSP, with questions. Responses are due by Monday, March 28.
