    Dear Colleagues,

Please consider submitting an abstract for the Fall AGU24 meeting to the session GP013. The Ever Improving Understanding of Paleomagnetic Recorders: The Next 10 Years.

    Summit your abstract here

Over the last decade there have been large step-changes in our understanding of paleomagnetic recorders and recording mechanisms.  We invite presentations on the latest developments in rock and paleomagnetism that might contribute to our ability to determine higher fidelity paleomagnetic signal recovery over the next 10 years. This includes advances in our understanding of the mineral-magnetic recording process, both through experimental methods and development of instrumentation, as well as insights gained from new theoretical and numerical models. We particularly encourage presentations that speculate on how advances made of the last few years might provide revolutions in our science over the next decade.

The session will include invited talks from:

Prof. Ricardo Trindade from the University of São Paulo, and

Dr. Jack Turney from Colombia University, New York

Any questions, please email session convenors Wyn Williams, Adrian Muxworthy, Ge Bian or Rashida Doctor.
