The March 5 Gilbert Club meeting is coming. If you have missed that announcement, all the information is at (https://eps.berkeley.edu/gilbert/gilbert.htm).
It will include the usual GC elements- a roll call, presentations from JGR editor (Amy East) and NSF (Raleigh Martin), pop ups, and this year, a single speaker- Suzanne Anderson (who was awarded the AGU Earth and Planetary Surface Processes G.K. Gilbert Award in 2020).
There is an emphasis on community (roll call, pop ups, and, at the end, an invitation to a Wonder room to "socialize" as best one can on-line).
So, do take this opportunity if you wish to send a short video about yourself, and, feel free to add a 2-minute popup on any topic you wish
The Gilbert Club web page (https://eps.berkeley.edu/gilbert/gilbert.htm) is now updated with example roll call videos and instructions about submitting your own roll call video and popup. Please read. You are invited to submit these videos to Maryn Sanders at gilbertclub2020@gmail.com by March 1. We realize that for many this remote interaction is difficult, but we hope you will be tempted to send us a communication for the community!
There is no formal registration, and no registration fee. We will send a Zoom link out a few days before the meeting as a final reminder.
Note that the Gilbert Club meeting is being held during the week of half-day online events to celebrate International Geomorphology Week #IntGeomorphWeek2021 ( http://www.geomorph.org/international-geomorphology-week-2021/).
